2027 Toyota Corolla Cross Preview
Since its debut in 2022, Toyota has made few changes to the Corolla Cross, and we expect that trend to continue for 2027. That means buyers can still look forward to the practical, fuel-efficient SUV that they’ve come to know and love. Here’s what we know so far about any Corolla Cross changes to come.
Key Takeaways:

- You can choose between gas and hybrid Corolla Cross models.
- As of August 2026, prices for Corolla Cross trims range from about $27,000 to $32,000 for gas-powered models.
- New models will be in our showroom in late 2026 or early 2027.
When Will You See the 2027 Corolla Cross and How Much Will It Cost?

The 2027 Corolla Cross should reach our showroom floor late 2026 or early 2027. Pricing estimates range from about $27,000 for entry-level trims to $32,000 for fully loaded XLE models. (Great pricing for buyers on a budget!)
What Engine Is in the Corolla Cross?

The Cross has two engine options–gas-powered and hybrid.
Every gas-powered Cross features a 169-hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 150 lb-ft paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). FWD is standard with optional AWD.
The Corolla Cross hybrid engine is a 196-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder and three electric motors. It also pairs with a CVT, but AWD is standard across the board.
How Efficient Is the Corolla Cross?
Fuel economy in both gas and hybrid models continues to be one of the compact SUV’s biggest strengths. While we don’t yet have exact numbers, the EPA rates current gas models at 31 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and 32 mpg combined with FWD. Choosing AWD lowers those numbers to 29 mpg city, 31 mpg highway, and 30 mpg combined. (Still very respectable!)
The Corolla Cross Hybrid’s fuel economy is even better, at 46 mpg city, 39 mpg highway, and 42 mpg combined. And the Hybrid has an approximate 445-mile driving range.
What Can Buyers Expect Inside the Corolla Cross?
Anyone familiar with the Corolla sedan or hatchback will recognize the Cross’s cabin. The dash layout, controls, and overall design are very similar. Lower trims are simple, but clean and comfortable. The XLE adds faux-leather upholstery, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped shift knob, and a fold-down rear center armrest.
Rear-seat space is slightly more generous than in the Corolla hatchback, while cargo space is a noticeable improvement. With 24 cubic feet of storage behind the rear seats, the Cross offers considerably more room for groceries, luggage, or whatever you need to store.
Which Tech Features Are Available on the 2027 Toyota Corolla Cross?
Every gas-powered Corolla Cross includes an 8-inch touchscreen with Toyota’s latest infotainment software, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM compatibility, along with a six-speaker audio system.
The XLE upgrades to a 10.5-inch touchscreen, while LE buyers can add it through the Multimedia Package. A larger 7-inch driver information display replaces the standard 4.2-inch unit on upper trims, and both the LE and XLE now include wireless phone charging and rear USB-C charging ports. Buyers looking for improved audio can also opt for a JBL Premium sound system with a subwoofer.
